Here's my Story From..
...Those “blank moments” …
to feeling like myself again.
I'm Deb, 67,
Married for 42 years — and a proud grandma of five.
If you've been noticing little memory slips, this may be worth seeing.
A quick moment that scared me...
I used to be the one who remembered everything —
birthdays, stories, little details about the people I love.
Then one night at dinner, my grandson told me all about his soccer game.
I listened, smiled, asked questions…
A few days later he called and said:
"Grandma, do you remember what I told you?"
My mind went blank.
I laughed it off… but inside, I felt that cold fear:
"Is this how it starts?"
And if I'm being honest, what scared me even more was how quietly it was happening.
Little things.
Like being at lunch with friends and suddenly not being able to recall the restaurant name from last month.
Or my daughter asking about an appointment… and the details feeling fuzzy.
Or walking into a room and suddenly standing there thinking,
"Wait… what did I come in here for?"
Or looking for my glasses while they were literally on my head.
And the worst part?
When you smile and play it off… but inside you think,
"What if they start worrying about me?"
Because once you stop trusting your memory,
Everything changes...
You stay quieter in conversations
rather than risk losing your train of thought mid-sentence.
You stop offering to help because you're afraid you'll forget something important.
Not because you're incapable…
but because you don't want to be a burden.
You don't want to see that look of worry in your children's eyes.
What surprised me at my next check-in
Here's the strange part:
My doctor wasn't alarmed.
He said many people can have
"normal" results and still feel foggy, forgetful, or slower than they used to.
But that didn't make me feel better.
It made me feel… brushed off.
I didn't want to make a big deal out of it,
And I definitely didn't want my kids to worry about me.
I just wanted to feel like myself again
— sharp enough to enjoy my life without quietly second-guessing everything.
A week or so later,
I was talking about it with a woman I know from my book club who used to work in healthcare.
I didn't even mean to get into it — it just came out.
And she explained something I had never heard said so simply.
She said your brain has two sides that need to "talk" to each other smoothly,
And over time, stress, multitasking, and aging can make that communication feel… less clear.
Then she pointed me to a short presentation about a specific sound-based technique
Being studied for its ability to support focus and mental clarity.
Why I tried it (even though I was skeptical)
I'd already tried the usual stuff,
like supplements that didn't change much,
puzzles and brain games that felt nice but didn't help real life,
And the classic "just sleep more" or "reduce stress" advice
(which is easier said than done).
What made me try this was how simple it sounded.
It starts with an 8-second technique using your earlobes.
Then you listen to a 12-minute sound pattern.
That's it.
No complicated routines.
No learning curve.
Just 8 seconds to activate, 12 minutes to listen.
What I noticed (my personal experience)
I'm not claiming miracles — but within a couple of weeks
I noticed less "morning fog,"
fewer moments of walking into a room and forgetting why,
and words coming to me more easily in conversation.
You know that feeling when a word is right there, and you end up saying,
"Oh, you know… that thing…"
because you can't grab it fast enough?
That started happening less.
Everyday decisions felt simpler.
I started handling things I'd quietly let others manage.
And the best part?
At family dinners, I wasn't just smiling and nodding along. I was IN it.
I caught myself thinking, "Oh… there I am."
When I ran into old friends at church or the grocery store,
I didn't get that split-second panic —
"Wait… what was her name again?"
I felt calm. I felt clear. I felt socially "smooth" again.
Not perfect.
Just… like ME.
I felt more like myself again — more present with my family.
If you want to see what I saw…
The free presentation explains the simple idea behind the 8-second ear trick,
why it can feel different from puzzles or supplements,
and how to try it safely as part of a daily routine.
If any part of this feels familiar… you're going to like what comes next.
Because it explains why nothing ever seemed to stick… and what's different about this.
